The Foundation and the Door and Hardware Institute have created a training program specific to the inspection requirements of the 2007 edition of NFPA 80, Standard for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives. OUR SHORT TERM OBJECTIVE
The Foundation will play a leadership role in life safety through the fire-door inspection process, a concept which will provide valuable insight into the safety and security of each and every fire-rated door.
Why are Fire-Rate Doors Important?
According to a 2007 USFA and NFPA report , 116,500 non-residential structural fires resulted in 105 civilian deaths, 1,350 injuries and $3.1 billion in property damage.
