• Provide inspection education to enable an individual to become a knowledgeable inspector of fire-rated doors.
• Educate code officials to assist in proper fire-code door inspections.
• Educate design professionals (AIA) on the proper role of the architectural opening in life safety.
• Educate the building management community on the new requirement and the avenues available to conduct inspections.
• Educate the insurance industry on the importance of well-maintained openings
• Provide education and create awareness as to the importance of on-going maintenance of the architectural opening and fire systems. This education will be provided to building code officials, fire officials, AHJ school officials, building managers and the general public.
• Investigate opportunities within the federal and private sector where funding would be provided to support life safety and security in regards to the architectural opening.
